Caramel kingdom
Candy held out in hands. Arms sleeved in chain mail. Shoulders garbed in lion skin. Chest carved out of stone. Stomach filled with fire. Rocks under foot. Caramel kingdom flowing through the river beside us. Old gloves and boots floating by. Octagons arrayed in formation, clustered around our knees. Kissing children run rings around the bench we sit on. They are waiting for us to break off and float down the river.
