Five Robots

A few years back, I was really into drawing and painting robots. It was a rebellion against art school and the sort of high-minded and sometimes very artificial hollow-feeling fine arts aesthetic I was being exposed to at the time.

This particular drawing is from a series of images I did as gifts for family members at Christmas. The robots themselves are hand-drawn and scanned. The coloration was all done in Photoshop, using clippings from other images.
