Knife Guys
Two pieces with a similar theme but really different execution.
Made that one completely with the Wacom tablet and some Photoshop settings I was playing around with. I’m not really sure what’s the deal with that stuff on top of his head, but it has kind of a cool surreal quality to it, I think. Plus I really like all the texturing in his clothes and elsewhere.
This was drawn by hand and scanned in. I was looking at a lot of Medieval drawings at the time, and wanted to emulate the shapes and outfits of some of those characters, but combine it with a more modern comic book type of look.
