Tigress and Euphrates
The tigress and Euphrates. Water washing up to our hair and ears. Liquid seeping into our minds and eyes. And ink dripping out our noses. Sneezed my signature into the open air. The molecules reconfigured themselves everywhere I went. Quicksilver. Hands dancing in place. We twirl and collapse like tents in the desert. We’re everywhere pinned against the sky. Killing birds every time we yawn. Inhaling the whole world, remaking it in our image. I am in you and pleased. I am the cow jumping over the moon. You are quick to correct me. Yes, I know. I know. Growling in the darkness, staring out at us. Teeth glowing like ivory candles. Beggars covered in rags. I will wipe you up in them.
