From Trees
I fall from trees into your arms. I am enlightened by your love. Sever me from my eyes, my heart will still find its way home. I am alone on a rock in the middle of a street, singing, my arms uplifted. I am taken with the world, with myself and with my shadow cast out upon the walls. We must exteriorize before we can interiorize. I am a fish swimming up your rivers. I sway and shiver. I take my light and hide it under a basket of flowers, pretending to be their light. Will you take me up, through towers towards heaven? Will you be my support system made of Lego skulls. Grinning glowing things we used to wear in our hair. I’m asking for you to take me home again. Will you? I live there.
