Ok, so hold on. If you look up “paranormal investigator” in google, you get a lot more results than if you use the word occult, which I still prefer. Anyway, heres a bunch of stuff that I am finding:
Some guy named John Zaffis has some website with a page titled “Becoming a paranormal investigator“. It has a bunch of questions that he wants prospective investigators to ask themselves, and if they answer yes, and live in the New England area, then they should contact him. This is a link to the main site. Alright, giving it a cursory glance, this is not bad. He’s got links to articles he’s written, as well as case studies that he has been involved with. I think I’ll come back and read through this one more closely.
Hm… this looks shitty. Its a home study course to become a Certified Paranormal Investigator. Well, actually, if you scroll down the part that lists all the topics that are covered, it sounds kind of cool. How much does this cost, let me see… looks like there are a few different options, ranging in price from about $175 to $375. Oh look, they also have a main website as well. Apparently, they are calling themselves the “International Ghost Hunters Society”. At first glance, it looks like an old couple that drives around in their RV looking at ghost sites. Hm.
Hehe. I’ve seen a couple things like this so far, where Occult Investigator or Paranormal Investigator is listed as a character class in certain role-playing games. I like the way they describe the attributes of the characters in this class. There’s also a cool old picture of a guy in a suit pulling a cross out of box full of paranormal junk.
I like this one. Its about someone named Mary Ann who is a paranormal investigator who can see and contact the dead. I’m not able to do that myself, but I have seen a couple ghosts in my day, which I plan on writing about at greater length pretty soon. Anyway, Mary Ann has case studies and photos. Wow usually I don’t like ghosty photos cause they don’t seem like they show much of anything to me, but check out the one called “The Skull Thing” in her photo album. That’s freakin scary looking. Hm, apparently this lady also has some kind of memoir she published.
Amazon has for sale a “Paranormal Investigator’s Handbook.” There are some really bad reviews of it, but I would kind of like to take a look at it nonetheless.
Something called the “Paranormal Project” that seems to have some pretty cool stuff on it, that I am going to come back and check out more later on. It’s by a girl who says she’s been in contact with the spirit world since she was a kid.
