That’s exactly what I was saying!
Alright, so this SPI site, the Society for Paranormal Investigation, they have this thing on their main page that is exactly what I was talking about. And rather than try to summarize it in my own words, I’m just gonna paste it below:
SPI does not have a mission to prove the existence of ghosts, spirits, or monsters as you are free to believe what you wish. Our goal is to assist people in understanding and coping with a haunting with respect to their own personal belief system. What makes us different is the holistic style with which we approach an investigation. While we do pay careful attention to our instrument readings and visual recordings, the tech side can only tell you so much. It is also important to study the emotional and spiritual context within which a haunting takes place.
Does the haunting have a personal meaning for you?
We can help you find out.
That’s totally awesome! Good for them. They actually have a bunch of useful kind of logistical stuff on their site that I think is really interesting. HA! And furthermore, check out their membership page, with the list of people in the group. its totally awesome. They list the following roles, its totally just like a comic book team, completely with somebody named “Vorpral”:
- Aurora C. - San Antonio rep, Journalism Specialist
- Pat H. - Artist and Occult Advisor
- John H. - Historical and Research specialist
- John S. - Intuitive Craftsman and Emergency Shaman
