Hi. Its 8:35am in the morning, which is sort of early to me. I decided that I will be leaving to go to work early. I feel good about this. Anyway, I got this letter from my brother, and since it is very apropos to the things we are talking about here, I wanted to include the whole thing. The title was “I am Jesus” and here is the body of the message:

So I looked at your new site and I have something that has been kicking around in my head for a little while. I want to lay on you.
What if Jesus had no message? What if he had no teachings and had nothing to say. There is no word of God but only an ear of God. What if he only organized the apostles who were all really local splinter Jewish group leaders. What if all the gospels are just attributed to JC but really it was the apostles who just got together and bumped heads? What if JC just brought everybody together? If Jesus is an organizer like any good leader, then saying I am Jesus is to say; I listen, I organize, but I have no message and no judgment. There is no right and wrong separate from each other. I hear both. If you were Buddhist, you would strive to be the Buddha, not Buddha like, so let’s be Jesus.
I mean really it was Paul who codified Christianity into a church. Christianity is really Paulism and the Gospel writers could have just used Jesus as a character to validify their own ideas. Let’s look at evangelization in Christianity for a minute. What if missionaries went into other countries and just listened instead of preaching? What if a priest just listened to people. What if saying I believe is to say I listen and organize, I believe that I am Jesus. What if Christianity was just a box that other groups and religions could fit into. Maybe that is what happened to the early pagan religions in Europe.
Ok, so if are with me up to this point, then may the second coming of the Messiah is when the shift is made from, ‘I am Jesus like’ to ‘I am Jesus.’ By everyone saying it, the second coming of Christ has occurred and time as we know it will end. Doesn’t it say in Revelations that man will not be able to tell the when the second coming will occur. This is because it is up to each one of us to say, I am Jesus on his or her own time. We are all waiting for a person to appear that is Jesus. Jesus is here, he is me and you.
I don’t know of anyone who thinks this way. Do you?
