Rhudy-incarnation
Just sitting here at work, doing some good old-fashioned data-slinging, and in between that, catching up the essential teachings of Dane Rhudyar. And then, I came across this quote, which ties in nicely to that reincarnation stuff that I was blabbering about maybe a week or so ago.

A spiritual Quality’s attempt to establish a one-to-one relationship with an individualized person operates cyclically and constitutes for Rudhyar the true meaning of “reincarnation.” In its process of differentiation, a spiritual Quality seeks and establishes various degrees of relationship with a series of human personalities, whose lives are linked in that they are all related to the same spiritual Quality. The process has as its goal, as its fully actualized symbolic Sunset, the total union or “divine marriage” of a spiritual Quality and a fully adequate individualized person totally embodying its meaning and function. Thus, from Rudhyar’s point of view, reincarnation is not the periodic reappearance of the same person, nor is it actually reincarnation. Strictly speaking, from his point of view, there is only one full incarnation — the one that culminates in complete union, the “divine marriage.”
You know what’s neat about me, is that I’m not afraid to flagrantly contradict myself over and over again. Cause like, at the same time that I like the idea above, there’s also something that I like even still about the idea that maybe something about ME in particular has existed before, and that maybe I will or have met people who I interacted with in previous lifetimes. I guess though, if you combine the two ideas, there’s room for both. Cause its just looking at the same thing from the other perspective I think. Maybe if you took what he says above, and like modified it, so that, once you “join up” with the spiritual Quality thats trying to embody itself through you, that you sort of tap into the energic memories of those who’ve held that office before you. Maybe I’m not contradicting myself. I don’t care either way really. This isn’t about proving something. It’s about enjoying myself and finding stories and models that are useful and fun for me to live my life with them in mind and heart.
