Incident on 57th Street



Right now, I am at work, listening to The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle, and drinking an ice coffee, and generally having the time of my life. I really like a couple parts in this song… they just really damn do it for me right now, for whatever reason:

  • The part where he sings: “Puerto Rican Jane, word is down the cops have found the vein”
  • The part later that goes: “Those romantic young boys / All they ever want to do is fight”

    Damn, I can’t wait to hear Rosalita and New York City Serenade. Hooray ! They’re next !

    It probably sounds stupid, but I can really understand this album better while in NYC (I almost feel like its teaching me about something that I have been overlooking here). I bet it would all feel even stronger if I was in Jersey or whatever… but hey, I’m not about to go that crazy !
