Throw them bones

I was just sitting here, looking at the daily feeds on my divination page, and decided to “throw the bones” so to speak, and see if I could come up with anything useful. In that “On Divination & Synchronicity” book, Von Franz talks about how the best time for oracular divination, is when things are really charged. Like, if you just seek answers when everything is normal, and you feel fine, like it won’t work the same way as when everything is askew. Maybe she means that when things are weird, you have more loose energy floating around, that’s not structured, but is seeking a structured outlet, and that it can start to take shape through divination results.

In any case, I did four different things, based around just words or phrases that had been coming up, and was gonna link them in here, and paste in some parts that I felt were particularly noteworthy. (I hope these links stay working, I’m not quite sure how their dynamically driven code works, so we’ll see, won’t we!)

  • “The great stream” (this I ching stuff is always talking about the “great stream” which I took literally here, as the East River) The results of this throw talk about turning points and union
  • “Wealth” (relating to a rune for cattle/wealth that came up, as well as the stuff that guy said about how I should move here to get “rich”) In this throw, the auroch and the horse come up, which I have been seeing a lot of lately. The auroch has come up almost every time I did a rune throw. It says “When the world was new, warriors used to test their strength against the Auroch.”
  • “Auroch” (Decided to follow this image out, see what came up) Some fragments of the stichomancy reading: “be freed from the bonds that held him to the stake. … he might even starve to death before the dull-witted apes realized that he wished them to gnaw through his bonds. … Tarzan could not but marvel at the remarkable characteristics this beast had evidenced. That it felt real affection for him there seemed little doubt”
  • “Unraveling” (since I was writing about that before) Never before have I had a Tarot reading that made as much practical sense to me as this. Almost every card, give or take a handful, I understand where the symbols are pointing. And it opens a lot of doors for me of things to look at and think about. I also especially like how the outcome includes “Inner fire that can drive away fear and replace it with fury.” That’s awesome.

Can I get a round of applause for the inner value of divination and a symbolic intuitive approach to the world? Yay!
