I just founs this article on Salon: Japanese author may have inspired Dylan lyric. It’s about how Bob Dylan “may have” lifted a passage from this Japanese author’s book and used it in song lyrics. But the cool part is, that the Japanese author dude isn’t all pissed off about it. He’s really happy. He says, “I’m ecstatic that such an influential singer was inspired by what I wrote.” And he doesn’t want any money or anything, and isn’t even going to have his book reprinted (its out of print). He says: “Why would I sue? To take something that made people around the world happy and try to exploit it for money - that’s poverty.” What a hero this guy is! I love it. He’s really hitting on something important, I think.

You can’t always get what you want

I don’t know, for some reason when I read this today, it made me really happy! I don’t really know why, but I just feel like its really good and appropriate for me right now, and I’m gonna try and live it out, the best I can.
