The first VCR was made in 1956 and was the size of a piano

Yeah, so that was the “Real Fact” #180 from underneath my Snapple Very Cherry Ice Tea bottle, which I purchased at Dunkin Donuts this morning, along with a Bavarian Kreme donut, and a toasted poppy seed bagel with cream cheese. I love that I’m at a point in my life, where I see this “Real Fact” about a VCR, and somehow, I see the weird relevance of this fact to my own life. It’s retarded I know, and I read way way too much into everything, but that’s fine. I always liked reading. Yeah so, to me, in my own skewed little world of meaning, this shit about the first VCR being the size of the piano, it makes sense, and it says to me, “Things that you will someday take for granted as a simple appliance, or convenience of living, they don’t start out that way. They start out huge and ugly and messy, and the size of a piano. And that’s normal and good.”

I just love that Snapple caps give me deep philosophical/spiritual insight into the universe, and my own personal progress within it. It’s simply magnificent. I think it stems from all that stuff I’ve been looking at with runes and tarot and the I Ching, and stuff, cause it starts to train your mind to look at a different type and set of connections, and immediately seek out what the personal ramifications of things are. Maybe its fun because it makes you the absolute center of things that happen. Not that they revolve around you, egotistically, but you somehow are able to correlate outer events to inner events, and thereby achieve some sort of harmony. Yeah, I don’t know precisely, but that sounds pretty legit.

I have to admit (and keep in mind), that life is way funnier than I give it credit for.
