The return of the coconut

Today is one of those days, where I’m just sitting here, and all of a sudden, I realize “Well, shit! I really like my life!” Like, I REALLY like it. I’m really happy. It’s funny how that’s right there in front of you all the time, but you don’t always get to focus on it. Like, even when I’ve been sort of depressed or anxious or whatever, it’s always there in the background, and despite all of that, I’m happy. But today, it’s really clear and evident. Clear skies after a cloudy weekend or some dumb metaphor like that.

It’s a really chill day here at work. We just got chili, salads, cokes and chipwiches for lunch. It was totally awesome. Especially the chipwich. Really hit the spot.

Oh right, Catherine and I went down to the river last night after work, and we bought and brought falafel sandwiches down with us, and ate them down there. It was a lot of fun, even though it was kind of cloudy and chilly. Oh, and all the way down there, I kept raving about how I had seen this coconut there the day before on the beach. She didn’t believe me, but I was like, yeah, we’ll go look for it afterwards, farther up the beach. But lo and behold, as soon as we got there, the mystery-coconut was sitting there right in our path! Staring at us. It was hilarious. I love that damn coconut! What the hell is it doing on the waterfront there anyway? How did it get there and what’s its story? Hooray mystery coconut!
