The Information Universe & Holograms
I haven’t read it yet, but just found a seemingly awesome article on Scientific American called Information in the Holographic Universe, which apparently is about “new” theories that the universe is made up of information, and that its a giant hologram. These theories aren’t really new, but thats amazing that they are starting to gain popular credibility like this.
More to come when I finish reading it.
Oh, and theres a hilarious ass-shot of a computer generated woman looking through a telescope on the first page of the article. Why? I don’t know. I guess the ass-shot made sense to them somehow. Hehe.
Later on: Yeah, whoo, man, this article is boring the living shit out of me. Somehow they managed to take a super cool topic and ruin it with a bunch of math and psychics. BORING! I really don’t recommend reading it, unless you like following a lot of talk about numbers and constants and entropy and crap.
I think, if you want to read about this sort of shite, you should get into Philip K Dick who talks about entropy and neg-entropy, and the possibilities of a holographic universe in an IMMENSELY cooler way.
