I’m trying to write part 2 of my article on syncretism, but it hasn’t been going so well. First of all, I was distracted by Drew’s band practicing unexpectedly in our apartment. Then I called John, in order to escape the mayhem in here and walked around outside for a while, and talked with him about girls and stuff, just like always.

Anyway, I think I just need to structure my ideas, and delineate the points that I want to make. I’ve also gotten back into diagramming out my ideas for articles with a program called SmartDraw that I really like. I put each piece into a little box, and give it a color, and then make them have like little color families, and group them to ones that are related, and then like link them together and stuff. It’s great fun actually. I might actually do one as an example in the next part of my syncretism article. I was thinking about talking about syncretic mapping and keys and stuff. Information nexuses and what have you.

What else do I want to talk about in this article, let me see… I keep saying that I want to talk about syncretism as a form of social resistance too. And about how syncretism is a means of piggybacking information onto existing messages and symbols. Hm… maybe I should read more about ciphers, and signal transmission and stuff. Okay! That gives me a new direction to take this from. Cool! I’ll get back atcha with more later.
