Just perusing the article I wrote last night and saw a great point that I feel deserves an entire article of its own:

“I think, to a large degree, thats what a religion/story-system or any larger cultural system is. It takes archetypal responses of a symbolic/intuitive type, and replaces them with a new set of symbols and supporting stories (a script), the goal of which is to organize the individual interior mental/emotional landscape according to some appropriate shared cultural context.”

So, this article will delve into organized religion enforcing shared story-systems to create a consensual reality among a group. Then, on the other side of that, you have personal interior experience, which is often denigrated, a perfect example of which is the war on drugs.

Another thing I think I can tie in is why file-sharing/copyright issues are hitting the fan right now. Because the people who are accustomed to being in exclusive control of our modern story-systems and their distribution channels, are realizing that they no longer have the stranglehold over it that they want and need. And that file-sharing promotes personalized cultural recombination, and the individual’s relationship to their stories. It’s gonna be fun.
