Here’s a ridiculous little article about a Polish farmer who is suing somehot air balloonists because they supposedly scared the birds to death:

The farmer says his ostriches panicked at the sight of the approaching hot air balloon. One ran into a building, fatally wounding itself, while another escaped never to be seen again.

I love that the one escaped “never to be seen again”. Where can an ostrich disappear to like that? It seems nuts. Seems like it ought to turn up sooner or later.
