Hemi-Sync: I’m ahead of the game

So, remember the other day when I was blabbering about how I made a CD to listen to, with white noise and continuous tones to help me sort of zone out or whatever when trying to achieve an OBE? Well, I was doing some research today, and came across something called Hemi-Sync, from the Monroe Institute, that it is virtually identical to the recording that I made, and with the same intent. The only difference is that they use “pink noise” which is just white noise through a certain kind of filter. And instead of the same continuous tone in each ear, they have a slightly different one in each ear, so that when your mind hears the two slightly out of phase sounds, it combines them into a wavering pattern, which I dont know, theoretically helps sync up your brain hemispheres, and then the theory goes, that your mind gets accustomed to this phenomenon, and then starts seeking stimulus elsewhere. Its a pretty accurate description of what has been happening in my own explorations.

They have a realAudio link to their sounds somewhere on that page, if you want to see what this is all about. I’m gonna modify my recording a little bit, to see if their system works better. Hehe, plus I’m just gonna chop up the little demo file they made, and loop it, and those bastards will never be the wiser!

Hey look! They have some other site where they sell this crap! What a scam! This shit’s so easy to make, and they are selling new-agey CDs of it for like 20 bucks a pop! Bastards! I’ll show them!
