Doug is doing a great job of getting me even MORE excited for next year’s national voyage which we will be undertaking. More excited? Seems like an impossibility, right? WRONG! More excited! And that’s a tall order, cause I’m already pretty excited. So right, I was following up on his leads about working for the National Park Service and also found this seemingly retarded but semi-interesting site where you pay all this money to download “e-books” about finding cool whacked out jobs like that. If anybody knows any places where you can work for like a month or two in exchange for room and board, maybe a little cash, let me know, cause I want to make a big list.
Note to Doug: When we are in Vegas, which we definitely will be, we should get a couple entry level jobs at like a casino, a fancy hotel, or one of those high-class strip joints. Hilarious. I’m so excited about this trip that I’m going to pop!
Whoohoo! Jackpot! Just found a site with a ton of resources for people in our upcoming position. Well, actually, its a bunch of articles, with them trying to sell you stuff, but its a good place to start cause its already giving me a lot of new ideas.
Here’s another site called Dr. Voyageur, that seems a bit better, and is about travelling long term in the US and Canada. It’s got links to all sorts of shit, like hostels, etc. Actually, also here is a hostel site.
Another Note to Doug: We should figure out some way to stay on an Indian Reservation at some point. Cause that’s just cool.
