Oh my god! Oh my god! My friend Nick just gave me the BEST IDEA EVER for when I go on my cross-country tour. And that idea is to try to travel at least some small segment by HOT AIR BALLOON! Oh my god! What a fantastic freaking idea! I’ve never heard of such a good idea in my whole life! That of course leads me think of trying to figure out other alternative modes of transportation to take, such as “pack mule” or “horse & buggy” or “sidecar of a motorcycle”. You know, things like that. If you have any other suggestions along these lines, jot them down in my comments.
Man, I can only imagine the conversations this would spark. I would walk into some dusty town, and the women in their dresses would come running up to me and say:
“Stranger, stranger! How did you get here?”
“Hot air balloon, ma’am,” I would respond, tipping my hat.
“Why, thats incredible!” they would say swooning, and fanning each other.
“It’s the only way to fly!” I would say, or something like that.
Hehe! Imagine! A hot air balloon! I can’t wait!
