Holy crap! I was doing some more research today about the hierophant/pope card in the Tarot deck, and came across some pretty amazing stuff linking the Catholic Papacy all the way back to the Pharoahs of Egypt! It’s pretty intense and deserves some further research, which you can be guaranteed I will undertake.

That also ties loosely into my theory (well, its not really mine, cause I’ve found some other people who actually researched it) about how the monotheist Pharoah Akhenaton really was the same person as Moses, and that the Exodus derives from the story of his deposition and flight from Egypt.

So yeah, that’s pretty interesting to think about how Judaism and Christianity may have become the vehicle for the continuation of a splinter group of Egyptian Pharoahs. That’s DEFINITELY a chain of connections I want to get more involved in.
