I like weather symbols. They are fun.

Here are some really pretty weather map symbols from the BBC. I especially like the ones where theres like the outline of the cloud with the halo of the sun around it. They are very sweet and magical looking.

Here are some ones that look like alchemical/astrological symbols.

Ooh! Here’s a nice big chart of symbols, some of which look like they are from the I Ching. Hm, that gets me thinking a bit about divination, and how predicting the future of any complex system works, in relation to meteorology and chaos theory and crap. Worth looking into more.

Hmm. Apparently different countries use different sets of weather symbols. My favorite are definitely the English ones (see BBC above). Well this has certainly been a delightful little foray into the world of weather symbols.
