Orientalizing

Another McLuhan quote I kind of like for a variety of reasons, including the hilarious gerund “orientalizing”: “‘Electric circuitry is orientalizing the West. The contained, the distinct, the separate - our Western legacy - are being replaced by the flowing, the unified, the fused.’ - Autumn 1969″
