Alright! I’m back to normal. I feel better now cause I thought of something good to research tonight, that RD Laing guy, from yesterday. Whew! Thank god. I was having a little moment there.

You know what’s really funny? I was on the subway today, and like the subway in NYC is such a fucking ridiculous phenomenon. Everyone tries to pretend like they’re not looking at everybody else, and it’s just so goofy that sometimes I’m not able to maintain the charade and I just start laughing to nobody, and then people try even harder not to seem like they’re looking at me.

The ride home today was a perfect example. I was sitting there, reading my book, getting quite close to the end… And you know, once in a while, even with my headphones on, completely immersed in my little world, something will break my concentration and I will look up and look around.

So I look up, and across diagonally, and there is this semi-cute girl who looks at me in that lightning fast glimpse way that girls seem to be so fond of utilizing (as opposed to the more masculine long stare). Anyway, our eyes caught for that split second, then we both looked away fast. And then I was like, wait, this is ridiculous, and I started laughing. But then I got embarrassed that I was laughing, and looked around the car some more to “cover” it before going back to reading. Hilarious.
