MIT’s OpenCourseWare

I remember hearing about this a while ago, but didn’t know it was getting so popular. MIT has this thing they do on their site, called OpenCourseWare, which contains all sorts of curricular materials for free use:

“On the site, every course comes with a description and calendar, lecture notes, reading lists and assignments. Some offer much more, with hours of video lectures, seminars and experiments.”

Sounds pretty wonderful. Between this and the BBC making their archives available for free on the internet, hopefully this trend will start to pick up more and more. Its beautiful.
