Article on the Register about possibly implementing “safe zones” which disable cameras in camera phones electronically. That would be cool if you could have a device that you wore that would do that to any digital imaging system, that made you invisible to it. Maybe that’s just pure science fiction. Maybe not. I know they are working on those invisibilty technologies, but i dont think they operate quite like that. Also, I would like to see someone come out with a device which will kill these damn RFID chips that I keep hearing about that they are going to start putting in everything in the next few years. And also, I’d like to see people start talking about the possibility of an “opt-out” system to prevent your information from being used for data collection purposes of which you are unaware, and that you must be legally made aware of any data collection/marketing research that is being done on you. I mean, that law will NEVER happen, but I think it should, cause its really a matter of importance in personal privacy.
