Just another in a long chain of news items from England about their rapidly eroding civil liberties. A new charter is being unveiled there which will grant a dozen different agencies the authority to conduct surveillance on all phone and email/internet activity in order to detect AND prevent crime. Fucking crazy. I’m firmly convinced England is just a testing ground for this sort of shit to be rolled out in the good ole US of A in a few years.
