Doug! I just read that article which enticed you to make your now-notorious offer of a night of a thousand blowjobs to the RIAA spokesman, Matt Oppencocksuckerer. Anyway, besides the comedic value of your statements, I think you may have overlooked possibly the most outrageous section of that entire article, the last paragraph:

“Mr Oppenheim also said the RIAA was immune from rules on unreasonable searches on the internet, because it did not have links with law enforcement agencies.”

If that holds up in court, we are all fucked. Right now, to use the Carnivore data tracking system, the FBI needs (supposedly) high level authorization and legal oversight. But if independent companies are legally permitted to do the same thing, and its okay as long as they don’t have links to law enforcement, but their evidence is still permissible in court - then we are all completely screwed!!! And screwed eternally. Cause it means non-law enforcement entities are allowed to commit search and seizure on anyone at any time for any reason. This may be the single-most terrifying thing I’ve come across lately. Let’s hope this “nycfashiongirl” person wins her case.
