When they succeed, they get bits of ripe bananas.
When they fail, they get blown up.
That is, the new generation of landmine-sniffing rats being trained in Tanzania. It reminds me of an article I read a while back in Wired about how they outfitted rats with cameras and radio controls, basically, and they could sort of steer them through blown up buildings to locate survivors. Little cybernetic rats. It was crazy. I’ll try and find it later.
