I really really dislike people who sell alternative healing products. “Feel better now for $19.95″ Shit like that. It’s just as bad as mainstream shit, cause its just trying to take advantage of people feeling bad.

I wish to god I could find it online, but I once heard this thing on NPR, where they were interviewing some true-blue Native American medicine man guy, and he was talking about like doing healing services and shit, and how he’s not allowed to accept payment for helping people. Because its a sacred act, and to take money for it destroys the sanctity of it. The people who are being helped are only supposed to purchase supplies for the healing ritual, as well as food for everyone involved, but they arent even allowed to give the healer gifts or anything.
