Good & plenty

So last night I went to see that new vampires vs. werewolves movie - Underworld. Let me just say that it was at least twice as good as I was expecting. I mean, I knew that whatever happened, I would have a good time watching it, thanks to the subject matter. But instead, it was actually kind of awesome. Not just kind of awesome, straight up awesome. Don’t believe any bad press this movie gets. It’s because these people don’t know how to approach the world of the undead. Their cinema is by necessity different from ours. All we can do is respect it, and love it.

Speaking of undead cinema, I had the pleasure of seeing two zombie movie previews last night. One was for a delightful zombie romp called “House of the Dead“. The second was for the next Resident Evil movie. Starring of course, a gun-toting Mila Jovovich. ROAR! That’s what I’m talking about. Oh, and what else, they are re-releasing the director’s cut of the original Alien, possibly on Halloween.

I’m really excited at the possible re-emergence of monster movies into our culture. Especially the monsters vs. movies. Those ones are the shit. I wonder if they will ever make an Aliens vs. Predator movie? Probably not. Anyway, Underworld completely ruled, and you oughta go see it, cause of how it ruled.
