I like this quote from the Gospel According to Mark:
- “‘To you has been given the secret of the kingdom of God, but for those outside, everything comes in parables, in order that ‘they may indeed look, but not perceive, and may indeed listen, but not understand . . . ‘ (MK 4:11-12) “
It reminds me of something I was thinking of a week or so ago, about communicating in a symbol systems - ciphers - which to the unitiated are meaningless, and can be transmitted easily through the culture at large…. more on that some other time…
