Well… hm. The basic premise of the article is good enough. The author is saying that the holy oil, chrism, may have included cannabis as an ingredient. This was the oil they used to anoint kings and priests, and that upon John the Baptist anointing Jesus, Jesus sees a vision of God, and the Holy Spirit descends on him. After that though, the article kind of trails off into how Jesus and his followers used this cannabis oil to heal people, and bring them to God. In the end, it turns into a defense of medical usage of marijuana, on pretty flimsy evidence. I myself would have preferred if they didn’t go down that route and just stuck with the idea of this oil as causing mystical communion with God. Oh well.
