So, I all but decided today to NOT take a laptop with me cross country. One, it seems impractical. But two, it just seems all wrong. The other day, Bret asked if I was taking a cell phone on my trip. And it hadn’t occurred to me that I could forego it. But then I thought that out today, and it would kind of limit my mobility, and my being able to call up friends randomly and be like “Hey, I’m in your city, can I sleep on your couch” etc etc. But yeah, a laptop? Nah. That I don’t need. I'’ just get me back to some old school sketch books and shit.

Hell, I was thinking I might even draw while on my trip too. Drawing rules! I kind of forgot about it, I think, because well… being at art school and being around “artists” all the time is fucking irritating and ruins all kinds of cool things, so I kind of have mentally distanced myself from it. But a couple nights ago, I made a new drawing, and then had made that other one a week or two before that, and I’m all like, “Damn, that shit’s fun as hell.”

Maybe I’ll even get back to doing that kid’s book where the little boy follows his dead dog into hell. That book is so gonna rule, but its gonna take some serious time to finish….

Speaking of all this drawing stuff, I think I’m gonna go get some done. Boom!

(PS. I watched a THIRD tv movie tonight: something about mary. It was pretty funny. Almost awesome, but not quite. I didn’t know Jonathan Richman was in that.)
