40 cent dreams
This morning on my way to work, I stopped by the A&J Deli for some breakfast and Cherry Chapstick, and to make good on my debt of 40 cents from a week or so ago. Ahhh…. sure is fall… wore my hoody out this morning. Read some more in my book about the Akashic Records on the subway. What else… its just after noon. Saw some pretty girls on the subway. I feel pretty nice this morning.
OH! I had some kooky ass dreams this morning. In one I was with this girl who I met last week someplace, but she kept changing into other girls, and we were in this town, and then making out in this car, and we were after that going up some hill in the fall, and then it turned into this girl Jackie I dated briefly last summer, and we were riding bicycles down this really steep hill, going super fast. And then all of a sudden, I’m like, whoa, I better stop - and just in time too. I jump off my bicycle and it sails down off this cliff. It’s weird too, cause the girl I was with stopped also, but then she looked at me all weird, and then just pedaled off. She didn’t die, but almost and was hurt real bad when I got down there. And then there were some other people down there too, and she kept morphing back and forth between different girls, and we were by this big lake, and then one of the guys started throwing all these bicycles into the lake. And I remember putting my hand on her chest to try and calm her, because her breathing was all heavy and her heart beating erratically.
After that, I don’t know what happened. There was another dream where I was in this room that was sorta like some kinda empty art gallery, and there were four people in the room. And one of them was like in charge, and one had a drum, and one a guitar, and one a tamborine, but then later I was playing tamborine, and one other person too, I think. And the leader said we were going to play in some kind or crazy time signature, like 20/7 or something. Oh, and there was a guy singing some kind of crazy blues type song, but like more mystical than that. And the song went on for exactly ten minutes (in my mind) because thats how long I set my alarm to snooze.
But also in that time span, the song ended, and I was with the leader guy, and he was playing it back on this strange device he had recorded it with, and we were now outside in the hills. And we walked down to this other area where he lived. He had a cottage behind us (that I never saw), a gray horse over the hill (that I also never saw), and a truck over the hill (which I also didnt see, but we may have driven there in). And he had a pack of weird dogs that lived out there with him.
I was going to ask him where we were, but the answer came in my mind, that we were in Montana. I remember him telling me sadly (I knew that his wife had died, although we hadn’t talked about it), that it was a good thing that he never had a son, because he wouldn’t have been a good runner, with all this hills around. But he was also disappointed that he didn’t have a son.
And then I asked him about his horse, and about the snow in the area, and if his horse liked to ride in the snow. Oh also, I feel like that whole scene was vaguely related to this hypnagogic vision/impression that I had before I left about me and this girl living in some other time, in kind of a frontier environment like that, but it was more back in the day, like Little House on the Prairie style. And in this dream, I remember wondering if we had any kids together, and realizing that we did not, and that she felt bad about that.
There were other ones too, but I don’t rightly remember them. I wish I could though, it was a pretty fruitful dream night.
