What would you think if…
…my nom de guerre was “Fisher Caldwell”?
I think “Fisher” would be a cool first name. I got it from that list of county names in Texas. The name Caldwell just makes sense after that to me for some reason. I think it’s in my mind because of “Caldwell Bankers,” although I’m not sure where I heard that. Maybe growing up on Long Island. The whole name reminds me in a very very specific and strange way of Cold Spring Harbor, which is a town on the North Shore of Long Island. To be even more specific than that, it reminds of a specific place outside on the street near the Whaling Museum.
And the whole thing, whales, fishing, oceans, it just all makes sense in this kind of intuitive unexplainable way to me. Like with fisherman venturing out in the mysterious depths of the ocean or some shit like that… Let’s look at the etymology of “fisher.” It comes from the Anglo-Saxon, “fiscere”. Hm, here’s an article about the role of fishing in Anglo-Saxon culture.
So until further notice, or if I think of something better, my incognito travelling name will be “Fisher Caldwell”
