oh my god! i just had the funniest fucking phone call in the world. i have been batting back and forth with an advertising “company” (I seriously doubt they are legit) for promoting our company’s site online. anyway, i talked to him a couple times and he was totally giving me the hard sell trying to be this smooth salesman and shit. anyway, i asked him to send me a copy of their agreement to look over before we decide. and their terms suck, and it seems like we could potentially get fucked if we use them. anyway, without getting into the specifics, he calls back this morning, and im like “no, thanks anyway, youve given me some good things to think about, but im gonna look around more.” i was totally professional and cool with him about it, and then he starts getting ALL FRANTIC and saying all this shit about how i wont be able to do any better than his company, and getting ALL TWEAKED out about it, and like totally just trying to scare me into buying his services. And then I say to him straight out: “Well, if you’re gonna try and scare me…” and he cuts in, “I’m not trying to scare you…(pauses) Good day to you” and then hangs up. What a fucking dick! He was so flustered though, it was awesome. What an asshole, for trying to pressure me with fear like that. I’m tempted to call him back out and tear him a new one, but I feel like he was already pissed off enough at me. It’s not my problem he has a shitty life and nobody likes him. He doesn’t need to take it out on me.
Oh, and just for posterity, I want to mention them by name, Traffic-Power.com, and the guy’s name was Dave. If anyone finds this post while searching for information on this company, I severely recommend steering clear of them.
