He got game

I was looking over this Google-Watch page to see if there was anything useful behind their anti-Google sentiment, or if they had good info on how it all worked, so as to boost your rankings and stuff. Mostly, their site is full of whiny drivel that not only doesn’t make any sense, but also doesn’t prove anything.

I did find one good quote though in an essay called How bloggers game Google:

‘There is an additional idea that you need to implement to get good results from Google and that is as you write each day, make sure you are using new words connected with your area of interest. I have a list of 158 words that must arrive in my text over a two month period — these, if you like, are keywords that have to do with my area of interest. Make a list and make sure you get through all of them over a certain time. This will increase the number of people arriving at your site from Google who put in all manner of query strings.’

They try to make the guy who wrote this sound all nefarious and awful and shit, but really he just sounds like he’s a smart guy. Then, a few minutes later, I was looking over Google results for keywords that I know I have the market cornered on, such as:

  • Autonomous complexes
  • occult investigator
  • Gemini and Jesus
  • religion in video games (not number one, but still on the first page)
  • polytheistic mind
  • religious syncretism

Anyway, those are some of the best ones. Some of those are really major coups too, because they are like serious terms which I am now the internet’s leading authority on. I am quite proud of that.

But oh right, so I found a list of other occult keywords that I thought I would try to incorporate from now on, whenever I post, even if I just mention them in passing…

Like, if I were to say, start talking about Enochian Magic, or HP Lovecraft, or maybe if I were going to delve into the Montauk Project or Project Rainbow… you get the idea. Just seed these words into my posts on a regular basis. Not that I don’t already do this naturally, but I may as well boost my rankings, if I can. Bam!
