Chastity

Wow. It really amazes me how strongly my beliefs differ from the Catholic ones that I was raised on. Like, normally I go around thinking Catholics are pretty alright, except for some minor flukes and stuff, and then i come across a site like this, with a section of FAQ’s on Chastity. This site is about being called to the priesthood. There are lots of funny questions (and sad responses) on here like:

  • I’m overweight; is it really a problem?
  • Are tattoos an obstacle to becoming a monk?
  • Is a mental illness a sign that I might not be called?

    Man, I can only imagine how difficult it would be to become a priest if you are fat, crazy AND tattooed.
