This guy Kevin has a blog called A Nickel’s Worth of Free Advice. I’ve linked right there to his post about somebody who was making some kind of critical analysis of the tv show Alias, in which he blasts them for doing so. I posted some comments to his site that I thought were worth reproducing here for posterity, because it’s an issue that’s close to my heart:
- i think its an important task for people to sit and look at what kind of lessons they are feeding their conscious and unconscious minds when they sit down for what they are told is “mindless entertainment”. theres no such thing. everything has an agenda, and everything is trying to fill you up with a certain way of thinking. the question is whether you want to blissfully ignore it and let it operate on you without you realizing, or actively try to break it down?
