Now there’s a weapon to fight back against the RIAA. It’s a site called RIAA Radar, where you can search for artists and albums, and see whether they are released/sold through one of the big 5 companies which are sponsoring the out-of-contol leviathan of music-industry-self-destruction that is the RIAA. Fight back! Find out where your music is coming from, and if the people that are putting it out are out to get you in exchange for supporting their products (what a brilliant business model)

Also, check out DownhillBattle.org, a site for music activism, supporting artists and fans, and not asshole record companies. They have a page of flyers you can download and poster around town, explaining how money you pay for CD’s barely even goes to the artists at all.

I also like their links against iTunes (the quotes and photos at the top are fucking brilliant) and against the new Napster. Man, I love these people.
