Listening to more McKenna, and he mentions a plant called Illinois Bundleflower (or bundle weed) or Desmanthus illinoensis whose root bark contains DMT and is legally available. Makes me want to read that book Herbs of the Northern Shaman. I wish I knew some weird old medicine man or woman who would teach me weird plant lore. I think that would rule.
