This is a REALLY awesome cartoony tarot deck, called the Alleged Tarot! I really love this one.
Also, this came up while I was searching for something else, a page about the Assyrian winged bull figures.
Something about the Bible and ancient mushroom cults. Haven’t really read it. I’ll come back to it.
In my current Terence McKenna lecture that I’m listening to, he’s talking about watching television as consuming enemy propaganda. And he’s talking about how television creates common memories and experiences between people, so that they become roughly interchangeable pieces of a whole, predictable based on the cultural programming they have received. I’m thoroughly convinced that if Dennis Miller did a bunch of hallucinogens and talked to aliens (instead of just being some dumb asshole, doing football commentating and M&M commercials), Terence McKenna is what would come out.
This is a beautiful relief of a king (I assume) spearing a lion from horseback. Another amazing one of putting a sword through the lion’s heart up close and personal. Those two images are really striking to me for some reason. Compare that to the image of the woman on the Strength card (She is the woman from the Empress card). A great page about Leo/Strength/Aslan.
