Scientists in Washington has been experimenting with worms to make them live longer. They modify some genes, take out their sex organs, and bam

‘Moreover, when we removed the reproductive systems of these … animals, they lived six times as long as normal,’ they wrote. ‘Whereas the mean lifespan of wild type (unaltered worms) was 20 days, these animals had mean lifespans of 124 days.’

The article said that in comparison to humans, that would mean living and being active until you’re 500 years old. Crazy.
