Speaking of women riding animals, this is a great picture of a Korean mountain goddess riding a tiger, which is from this site. I’m looking this stuff up in preparation for designing a tattoo for my friend Katie in Chicago. (She wants a design of her riding her cat, whose name is Tiger…)

And this is a totally different and completely radical comic cover from way back when of somebody named “Princess Pantha” riding a riging tiger, wielding a knife. It’s tremendous! Also interesting to compare to the one above. The mountain goddess too wields a sword, although in contemplation.

Also, we have this Hindu statue of somebody named Durga. Again, its a goddess with a sword. I seem to have struck on something unwittingly. Durga also seems to be called Amba, and is somehow related to Kali, and here’s another excellent picture of her.

These are wonderful little drawings too. Diagrams of how to make puppet/costumes or something. And another totally super drawing.
