“We don’t mean to offend you, but gay sex is a sin, and you’re all going to burn in hell forever.”
The American Roman Catholic bishops released a statement against same-sex unions:
- “The bishops said they did not intend to offend homosexuals, and they called discrimination against gays unjust. But the church leaders said they had an obligation to ‘give witness to the whole moral truth’ and reinforce Catholic teaching that gay sex is a sin.
‘Marriage is in crisis and will be further devalued and eroded unless we’re strong in pointing out that same-sex unions are not the equivalent of marriage,’ said Bishop J. Kevin Boland of the Diocese of Savannah, Ga.”
Hilarious. How can they say that they don’t mean to offend gays, but then turn right around and say that gay sex is a sin, and that it’s their moral obligation to speak out against it? Then they say that discrimination against gays is unjust, but backhand them saying that same-sex unions aren’t equivalent to marriage. What a bunch of bullshit. But I guess it’s not like anybody has any respect for the Catholic Church lately anyway, after all the same-sexy shenanigans they’ve been pulling. Fuckers.
