Disney Piracy
We just finished watching Pirates of the Caribbean here at work, which we have been watching in chunks on lunch break for the past week and a half or so. I hadn’t seen it before this, but it was completely awesome. We were actually watching an illegal “pirated” copy off the internet, which makes it all the sweeter. Especially since the end of the movie sees the established powers acknowledging that piracy is sometimes the appropriate and “right” course of action. I couldn’t agree more, although I’m sure if you pressed the Disney corporation on the issue, that they would have very different things to say about illegally pirated media content. But fuck them, anyway. I know the lesson I learned, and it had their stamp of approval on it. So there.
