Somebody calling themselves DS just left this link in my contact form: grimace. It is a page with a definition of the word, which I haven’t seen before:

A distorted facial expression, often a symptom of schizophrenia.

A search combining the words ‘grimace’ and ’schizophrenia’ on google seems to bear this definition out to some extent.
