Jeepers Creepers, where’d you get those euphemisms?

This morning I suddenly realized that the phrase “Jeepers Creepers” is probably a euphemism for “Jesus Christ”. And it turns out that it really is. It’s to avoid taking the Lord’s name in vain (3rd Commandment), like, “Gosh darnit” instead of “God damn it”.
